Aquatic Madness (Part Deux)
Ok, so the Betta + 3 Bad Ass fish was a bad idea. At first, the betta was kind of scared of the bad-ass fish and was hiding behind the coral, then he mustered up some courage and started warning the bad-ass fish.
The betta looked so angry and went psycho territorial.
The betta totally lost it when I started feeding the bad-ass fish with the colored pellets, which the betta usually hates, but started eating when he saw his "enemies" eating them.
I got the net and quickly evacuated the bad-ass fish into a smaller (compared to the tank), but safer humongous mayonnaise container.
When the betta was finally alone, he stopped eating the colored pellets and completely made a mess inside his tank.
I will have to clean the tank up again when I get home.
The bad-ass fish will temporarily stay in the humongous mayo container until my Dad gets finished setting up our other bigger tank. I would also have to buy some other fish to join the bad-ass fish. The tank would appear pretty dull if it only had 3 tiny (but bad-ass) fish in it. I'll buy a few gold fish and some angel fish... I would also like to buy some nice rocks. I wanna re-decorate my betta's tank.. make it look more like a beach setting or something.
Meanwhile, my zinnias are growing!!! Yahoo! I planted the seeds last Sunday.

Do u have the time to listen to me whine, about nothing and everything all at once?
If you do then let me begin my whining:
It's funny how horrible some people can act when they want to achieve something so badly but do not have the ability to achieve that.
It's funny how some people can still look you in the eye even after they lied to you.
It's funny how some people can still go to sleep every night even after every little wicked thing they've done.
It's funny how some people who are hungry for power often act upon their desperation and step on people's toes just to get to where they want to go.
It's funny how some people use some other poor fella's name just to trash someone else's and it's even funnier when the poor fella actually allows someone else to use his name just to trash someone else's.
It's also funny when people have soooo much time in their hands that they use their spare time to stab some poor hardworking fella's back.

p.s. I forgot to mention that it's funny to how some people can make up stories about some poor person just because they're jealous of that poor person's success...

A few months ago, I bought a tiny little blue fighting fish (betta) and named it Kid.
A few months later, I became obsessed with Aquariums!
I really really want to buy some bad-ass fish and keep them in my 5-gallon tank in my room.
A good idea, but my betta might make minced meat out of them, so I'm a little conflicted right now. I don't know if I should buy another bowl for my betta (he doesn't need an air pump) and raise the bad-ass fish in the 5-gallon tank or if I should get my dad's bigger tank, have it set up in the living room and put the bad-ass fish in there instead.
Another idea is to buy a dwarf gourami (they don't need air pumps) and a couple of rocks and some more plants (so he can hide in case my betta picks a fight with him...but that I doubt... my betta's a little cowardly), put it in the 5-gallon tank with the betta and see what happens, although I've been reading a lot and found out that bettas can be kept in community tanks... just don't put him in some tank with another betta.
Last week, my hubby and I went to a pet shop and saw this huge tank with 4 bettas in it. The bettas were wasted. Their fins were totally nipped and they were so thin and sickly looking.
I wonder what my cowardly betta would do if he was in that tank with those 4 violent bettas... ngiii...

I received this through my email today and I thought it was very interesting. I posted this forwarded email because I partially agree with the author. Partially, meaning I don't agree with everything he said. Here's what I think...
1. Politicians rely on "MASA" for the number of votes that they will acquire on election day. Therefore, they often focus their attention on the masses. (Mga sip sip!!!)
2. The masses, most of them, lack proper education, and for them, a capable leader alone can alleviate their poverty and answer all their prayers when in fact, you alone are the master of your fate and the captain of your soul.
3. Being one of the "masses" doesn't necessarily mean that all you do in your spare time is make babies. And remember, the church condemns birth control, and the "masses" very much believe in whatever their parish priest tells them.
4. Robbers, thieves, kidnappers, etc do what they do because they have to, or are lead into it because of drugs. Even rich people get addicted to drugs and do stupid things. (Remember Hubert Webb???)
5. The BIR does not charge those who are unemployed.
6. Our country is even smaller than California, yet California has only one governor. In Pampanga alone, we have 4 congressmen. Why not have just 1 representative per region? Isn't that more logical? Won't that save more money? (13 nalang ang bibigyan ng personal allowance... este pork barrel fund) After all, they have nothing to do anyway, now that we already have every kind of law we should be having.
Now that that's clear, I hope no one starts a debate with me on why I posted this forwarded email and stuff. (Happened to me before. The dude kept bugging me and kept saying that I posted the email because I agreed with it and not because I was asking for other people's opinions... Boy, was he wrong. Syempre ako'ng nag post no, syempre ako rin yung may alam nung reason kung bakit pinost ko...Lolz!)

Tuwing nakikita ko ang payslip ko, nag-iinit ang ulo ko at gusto kong maiyak sa inis. Napakalaki ng tax na binabawas sa akin pero ginagamit lang sa walang kwentang bagay ang perang pinaghirapan ko.
Lahat ng pagtitipid ginagawa ko para suportahan ang sarili ko, pamilya ko at ang bansang to. Ni hindi ako makabili ng chicken and spaghetti meal sa Jollibee kahit gutom na gutom na ko. Nag-tya-tyaga ako sa waffle na tig-P10, o kaya pag may konting pera, junior bola-bola siopao sa Mini-Stop sa halangang P20.
Eh kung yung pera ko na pinapangbabayad sa tax sa kin na lang napunta, eh di sana nakakapanood pa ko ng sine at least 2 beses sa isang buwan. Nakabili na sana ako ng bagong rubber shoes. Nakapagpagawa na sana ako ng sarili kong bahay.
Yung tax na binabayad ko, karamihan nun derecho sa bulsa ng mga corrupt na mga government officials at workers. Habang hirap na hirap akong i-budget ang pera ko, sila naman nagpapakasarap sa mga mansyon. SUV's at luxury cars pa ang dina-drive nila, samantalang ako sa pedicab lang sumasakay!
PERA KO YANG PINAPAGPAPASASAAN NYO!!!!!
Yung tax na binabayad ko, pinapangsuporta sa mga mahihirap. Saan ba galing ang pera pangpagawa ng housing at pagtulong sa mga mahihirap, di ba sa mga manggagawa na nagbabayad ng buwis! Pero karamihan ng mahihirap! , kung umasta kala mo inaapi sila ng sobra.

At karamihan pa eh mga mandurukot at holdaper. Piniperwisyo ang mga tax payers na matitino.

Kung kinakailangang magka-giyera para magtino ang mga Pilipino, ayos lang. Masyado na kasing matigas ang ulo ng mga tao dito. Gusto ng kalayaan, pero hindi naman handang panagutan ang responsibilidad ng pagiging malaya. Meron daw pinaglalaban na prinsipyo at adhikain pero takot namang mamatay para dito.
Hangga't hindi nagkakaron ng radical change, patuloy na walang kwenta ang Pilipinas at patuloy na magiging tanga ang majority ng mga Pilipino. Sa dami ng nag-mi-migrate na Pilipino sa ibang bansa, dadating ang panahon na minority na lang ng population sa Pilipinas ang may utak. Yung mga magagaling na Pilipino, ma! lamang maubos na. Sobra na kasi silang na-fru-frustrate at na-de-depress sa mga nakikita nila.
Ilang taon pa at aalis na rin ako sa Pilipinas. Wala kong balak na magkaron ng pamilya sa isang bansa na hindi pinapahalagahan ang kontribusyon ng mga taong tunay na bumubuhay dito. Kawawa naman ang magiging anak ko kung dito sya mabubuhay.
Sa totoo lang, broken hearted ako. Minahal ko din ang bansang ito. Pilit kong pinagtatanggol kahit bulok. Nakarating na ko ng ibang bansa, pero pinili kong bumalik. Pero ngayon, ayoko na. Suko na ko. Sayang lang ako sa bansang to. Simple lang naman ang hiling ko. Gusto ko lang mabuhay ng

As we were on our way to Greenhills last Sunday, along EDSA, near SM City, we heard a loud explosion. At first, we thought it was just a tire or something, but when we looked behind us, we saw a silver Nissan Patrol which was on fire. Its windshield was shattered, and there was a lot of smoke and flames coming from the inside. The passengers jumped out of the vehicle. One of the passengers, a teenage girl, got hit by an oncoming vehicle because she suddenly jumped out of their car.
This story even made the news, but it sure is different to see the events unfolding from up close.
Car bomb nearly kills Dy widow and children

THE WIFE and children of slain oil trader Peter Dy were almost killed by the same type of car bomb that killed him last year.
Quoting bomb squad investigators, Central Police District-Criminal Investigation Unit chief Procopio Lipana said an improvised "pipe bomb" blew up the family's Nissan Patrol car as it cruised on the southbound lane of Edsa in front of SM City Annex.
The explosive was likely placed under the carpet at the back of the vehicle, Lipana said. He added that it was similar to what killed Dy in Valenzuela last year.
The Edsa explosion, which wrecked the sports utility vehicle, hurt Dy's widow, Adelfa Aguirre, her stepson, Patrick Dy, and daughter, Pamela Dy.
The discovery bolstered the police theory that the same person or persons who killed Dy were behind the attempt on his wife and children, said Central Police District director Nicasio Radovan Jr.
So far, the investigation had not turned up any suspects, he said.
Lipana said the victims told investigators in initial interviews that they had no idea who tried to kill them. They, however, declined Lipana's offer of police security, he said.
The victims in the Sunday bombing suffered burns and cuts and were rushed to the Capitol Medical Center. They later transferred to an undisclosed hospital, police said.
In April 2004, a powerful explosive tore up the front part of Dy's Mitsubishi Pajero, killing him and injuring his driver and a bystander. DJ Yap
